Professionally, I have been in the personal development industry for over 14 years. On the personal front, I’m a Singaporean citizen, 43, have a grown up daughter, also an author living in Sydney, who has just published her first fictional novel called Enchanted Incognito and I could not be more proud. I’ve lived in Jakarta for many years and then spent most of my life in Sydney, Australia. I currently live in Pune, India and my most recent accomplishment and joy has been completing the 200 hour yoga teacher’s training course.I have been coaching by phone and in face to face hand’s on workshops on a variety of personal development areas including self awareness, persuasion, influence and leadership training.
My forte is developing content and teaching people how to change the lens through which they see in order to create new and lasting changes in their lives. I also teach self-confidence and communication helping to build self-esteem and self-efficacy through body, emotion and language cohesion. I train and mentor other facilitators to present their own material and can help them hone their content.I am a certified professional PCC coach with the ICF (International Coach Federation) trained in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and Ontological Coaching with Newfield Network as well as in Yoga (YAA – Yoga Alliance America) I have 4 more books for 2015 & 2016 release including Brain Spa and Brain Spa Journal.
Before this, I worked for an online department store in Australia where my role was to start up a new department store category – Manchester and Bedding and build it up to a competitive level and maintain and grow the other two categories of perfume and books as well. I also attended the Guangzhou Gift Fair twice a year for buying and then helped to organize national trade fairs in Australia 6 times a year for our family business. In a previous lifetime, I studied Fashion designing and textiles in Indonesia, Gemology, diamond grading and jewellery valuations in Australia and I also taught English as a second language for several years. In the midst of this I went through my divorce at 26, I was struggling financially, physically I was fat and I had low self esteem which only served to attract the wrong kind of attention. I started looking for ways out of my own rut, I discovered my talent and purpose was to help others do the same – that is around when the ICF was recently established and courses to become professional coaches were coming up globally.
Through the years, I often was thrown in the deep end and my attitude has always been to say yes. Many of my friends could not even bear to look at how I was going to survive the next curve-ball, but I am lucky that my Faith has brought about a “can-do” attitude, I know I will be able to do it, it is just a matter of will I be willing to pay the prices and so I made a commitment to never give up.I have learnt to name the elephant in the room, rather than pretend it does not exist, calling it out even when I am feeling uncomfortable sometimes. This tool has helped me overcome many challenges and helped me to drop my ego, look for help and get it! Working for myself has been a lonely journey as after a workshop, I had only myself to critique or praise which started to really get me down. I am now in the process of combining my offering together with a handful of excellent facilitators with the vision to combine our expertise and experience to deliver scalable and comprehensive trainings.
